Advanced FCP X: Custom Resolution Timelines Are Possible!

Because of the current lack of custom resolution settings for projects in Final Cut Pro X many people believe that it is not possible to edit or export a timeline that is outside the standard resolutions that most use. This is not the case.

Using Motion 5, Photoshop, or another program where you can set custom project sizes you can create a blank canvas, video or image, bring it into Final Cut Pro X and “Open in Timeline” you can then edit and export as you normally would except you now have a full custom resolution and aspect ratio.
